I have been gone from my blog for sooooo long. And I wanted to pop in to thank those of you that have kept me in your thoughts and prayers. I don't know when I will be able to get back to my blog, I so miss seeing all of your beautiful creations and reading all your encouraging comments you would leave on my blog. But I wanted to let you know that I do think of you all and miss reading your blogs and that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you
Sandy

Wishing you all a
very Merry Christmas.. AND to thank each and every one of you for making this such a wonderful year by always popping by to leave me such encouraging comments on my blog.
i haven't been around much lately, not only because of getting ready for Christmas, but i spend so much time on the computer.. (i so love popping over to everyone's blog to see your beautiful creations, but when i do, i don't get off the computer), yes, i have said this in the past, but so many of you have become such wonderful blogger friends and i love to visit with you so it is hard not to pop over... we have become like a family here in blogger land. i will miss all of you, but i will be popping in every now and then.
Usually at the end of the year i put up the cards that i have made through the year that are my favorites.. i am not going to this year, it takes alot of time to post them and you have all already seen them.

Such a busy time
i have been popping in every now and then to see everyone's BEAUTIFUL creations... but have been trying to get some things done. i was so excited i had most my Christmas shopping done and wrapped. But then things went crazy. But i do have a few things to post, i decided to put everything in one post, i know how busy everyone is during this time of year, so hoping we can all keep our focus on "the REASON for the season.
i did sneak off to go to my favorite scrapping place in Folsom, that beautiful Bed and Breakfast and i actually completed a layout (and started on two more - so close to having ALL my kits done). So here is my first project:

Isn't this just too cute, all the cuts are from Create a Critter NOT Create a Critter 2, because i don't have that one.. (maybe someday).. but i just love how it turned out.. What i will do with it i don't know, but it is cute.
Then i actually finished a layout for Project 365, it's only a one page layout because i will be starting a new book for Project 365 (my 3rd book).. but this is DAY 220...
i think i will enjoy Project 365 more when i get all the kits done. The title and the jumping girl were done with the Silhouette
AND here are some gift cards for the boys, i believe i used the Home Decor and More for the Skull's... the gift cards from Miss Emma's.. the "Baby it's cold outside" is a stamp from Whimsical Designs- and i put stickeles on the skull and then put the skulls on a wobble..
These adorable gift cards are for the boy's girlfriends (still need to make one for my friend Marti), aren't they just too cute, another Silhouette cut. The bows are on a wobble
AND more gift cards using Miss Emma's gift card holder and this is also another Silhouette cut. The zombie is also on a wobble and i added stickles to his hair.
Still have so much to do, not sure if i will have time to post them, but hoping to try.
We got our tree last week but still haven't had time to decorate it. :-( So here is a picture of our tree, hoping to get it decorated maybe tonight. We all do it together and it's been hard to find a time everyone can do it.
.i hope everyone is having a wonderful week AND remember-

Fun card
This is another one of Lorrie's series of cards she made tutorials for, only this is card #5. (i am still working on card #4, it has sewing to do on it. I told Everett i would use that sewing machine when i brought it last year.) This card was showing how to take a simple element and make it into a shaped card. I don't know if you can see it, but I added some glitter to the word "GREETINGS", just to add a little something. I like it, what do you think???
I went Christmas shopping the other day and Everett went with me, he never does that... it was fun having him go with me. He didn't go to all the stores, he just found a place to sit and i ran all over the mall and would bring my packages back to him and go some more. I am really trying to get my shopping done (and wrapped) and do whatever else i need to do in the next few days.. i want to be able to just have time to enjoy the "Reason for the Season"... and not be rushing around trying to get everything done. We will see if i can.

Sewing on my card....
yes, i have finally gotten my machine out of the cupboard and sewed on my card. BUT i definitely need to practice on it. i think the hardest part was threading the machine. i got this sewing machine about a year ago, i told Everett "i just have to have it"... and his response was, "you won't use it", and i of course said, "i will use it, everyone is sewing on their cards and it really adds something to the card". This is the second card i have used it on. Not because i didn't want to, i kept forgetting to. Then i would see someone sew on their card and think, "i need to sew on mine"... and now i have. Enough rattling on, my card is another one of Lorrie's Silhouette 101 Christmas card series.. i have so enjoyed doing her Christmas card series, i now have 3 Christmas cards to send out.. (there are a total of 5 cards, i thought there were only going to be 4, but she added another one.) You have to click on the picture to be able to see my sewing.. it's not too bad.
i popped the white layer and the ornament up with the pop dots..
i hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It will be Christmas before we know it.
Thanks so much for taking time to pop over and visit me.

Everett keeps telling me i need to get off the computer and get busy in the kitchen, but i wanted to wish each one of you a Happy Thanksgiving i pray that it will be filled with many many special memories and full of laughter. AND to thank all of you for always taking time to stop by to encourage me. i have met so many wonderful people here in blogger land and feel that you are all my friends..
i had plans to make so many things for Thanksgiving, i saw an adorable candy corn holder over at Rose's that i wanted to make, i wanted to make name tags for each persons place at the table, a center piece.. but being as i got none of those things done, i am posting the layout that i started so many weeks ago at the crop in Roseville, yes, i finally finished it.
All the cuts were done with the Paisley Cricut cartridge..
Thanks so much for taking time out of your busy day to stop by...
Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving and i pray we will all take time to thank the Lord for all the many blessings He has given us..
i am thankful:
Alex finally found a job
we finally sold our motorhome
that God has allowed me to be such a big part of Brent and Alex's lives
that Everett was called back to work
for our health
that i have friends that join me in prayer for my loved ones
for my church
i could go on and on, but Everett thinks i need to get in the kitchen.

The end of the week end
i have spend quite a bit of time scrapping this week end, and my house shows it... BUT it has definitely been fun. i almost finished another one of Lorrie's Christmas cards, all i have to do is put it together, i really have had fun doing this one, can't wait to show you. It took me a few tries to figure it out, but i finally did it. Finished up my friends birthday card and almost finished the layout from the last crop i went to. Here is my friend's birthday card, Everett thinks it looks kind of "babish".. i kind of like it. What do you think? Her birthday isn't till the end of the month so i would have time to make a different one. i used the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge.
i used one of Miss Emma's adorable stamps on it and LOTS of stickles on the ice cream.
Hope everyone has had a blessed weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Another Christmas card
i have so enjoyed doing Lorrie's Christmas card tutorial. This is my second one, there are 4 cards that she has included in her card series. This was made using the same .cut file that i made the other one, we just were thinking outside of the box and make it totally different, how fun is that. Lorrie is a very good teacher and i am finally learning a little about this machine. Thank you Lorrie. (and i even used alot of scraps on this one, that's always fun to get into that "impressive" scrap pile).
i don't know why the picture turned out so washed out.. if you click on it it looks a lot better, but i see there's a bit of glue where i first put the "merry" that i need to try to get off.
i am posting the first card i made in the series again so you can see how we used the same .cut file to make the second one, just changing things up a bit.. how fun thinking outside the box.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. i managed to get a little house work done and work on this card and almost finished up the layout that i started at the crop last weekend. But now my back is hurting so i think i will sit here and visit everyone's blogs for a bit. Thanks for stopping by.

A Sympathy card
The other day my daughter asked me if i would make a sympathy card for a friend . Of course i was delighted to make one for her (she is my biggest fan) but sad for her friend's loss. i don't do very well creating under pressure, i didn't use the cricut because she wanted it as soon as possible.. and it always takes me so long to think of something, i hope she will think this is special for her friend. i am not sure i like the black ribbon.. but it's stuck and i am afraid i will tear the whole card up by trying to get it off. i took the picture from the side so you could see the layers. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and visit awhile.
